In an age where younger generations face a continuous influx of misinformation, algorithmic curation, and information overload, fostering trust has emerged as one of the defining challenges for modern libraries. How can cultural institutions serve as a steadfast support system for young people, empower them to cultivate critical thinking, and help bridge the gap from rapid information retrieval to deep, meaningful knowledge?
At this year’s Summer Forum, we will explore:
- Building and sustaining trust between libraries and younger generations;
- The pivotal role of libraries in advancing media and information literacy;
- Designing spaces and curated content that resonate with youth needs;
- Highlights of best practices alongside the key operational challenges we navigate in our work.
